Is Your Ansul System Compliant? Understanding the Ansul Interlock Requirements

Ansul R102 Kitchen Fire Suppressions require interlock functionality. This means that when an Ansul system activates during a fire, it must automatically: shut down the fuel supply to cooking appliances, isolate electrical cooking equipment, stop the ventilation canopy air supply, and allow extraction systems to continue operating where applicable.

These shutdowns are now required to comply with:

  • UL300
  • LPS 1223
  • BS EN 16282-7
